Capsicum is also known as bell pepper, kudamilagai and shimla mirch. For this capsicum pakora, cutΒ capsicumΒ into small pieces and mix with besan flour, rice flour and spices and fry in hot oil. Ingredients
  

  • 2 Capsicum (medium size chopped)
  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • Ginger (small piece chopped)
  • 5 pods Garlic (crushed)
  • Curry leaves (few chopped)
  • Coriander leaves (few chopped)
  • Β½ cup Gram flour
  • Β½ cup Rice flour
  • 2 tsp Chilly powder
  • ΒΌ tsp Turmeric powder
  • Β½ tsp Asafoetida
  • Β½ tsp Fennel seeds
  • Salt (as needed)
  • tsp Oil
  • Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  • Cut the capsicum into thin lengthwise pieces.
  • In a mixing bowl, add chopped capsicum, onion, ginger, coriander leaves, curry leaves, crushed garlic, gram flour, rice flour, salt, asafoetida, chilly powder, turmeric powder and fennel seeds mix well.
  • Add 1 tsp oil and mix well. Don’t add water. Combine all ingredients well until the flour stick to the vegetables. If necessary, sprinkle some water into it.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Take some portion of the capsicum mixture and sprinkle it in hot oil.
  • Fry all sides of capsicum pakora on medium flame until it turns crispy and golden brown.
  • Crispy capsicum pakora is ready to serve with hot tea.

1.Don’t add water. The water in the vegetables is enough for kneading. If necessary, sprinkle some water into it.
2.Add more chilly powder, if want more spicy.
3.Fry pakora in medium flame.
4.Fry pakora until it turns crispy and golden brown.
5.Don’t want to make a shape for pakora. Just take some portion and sprinkle it in hot oil.
