Ingredients
  

  • 2 Capsicum (medium size)
  • 1 cup Gram flour
  • ΒΌ cup Rice flour
  • Baking soda (a pinch)
  • Salt (as needed)
  • 2 tsp Chilly powder
  • ΒΌ tsp Turmeric powder
  • Β½ tsp Asafoetida
  • Red color (optional)
  • Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  • In a bowl, add besan flour, rice flour, salt, asafoetida, chilly powder, red color and baking soda mix well.
  • Add enough water mix well without lumps and make a thick batter.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Cut the capsicum into slightly thick round slices.
  • Take a capsicum slice and dip it in the gram flour batter. Coat the batter well on all sides of the capsicum slice.
  • Drop it into the hot oil.
  • Deep fry both sides until it cooks well.
  • Tasty capsicum bajji is ready to serve with hot tea.
