What is Coconut laddu
Coconut laddu / nariyal ladoo is an easy Indian coconut balls recipe prepared using coconut. This ladoo is one of the instantĀ sweet recipesĀ prepared within a few minutes. Normally coconut ladoo can be prepared with fresh grated coconut and sugar or jaggery. But jaggery is a healthy option. Instead of fresh coconut, we can useĀ desiccated coconut. For this coconut ladoo, cook desiccated coconut/Ā coconut powder / fresh coconut in milk and add sugar for sweetness. Add cardamom powder and chopped nuts mix together and make delicious ladoos. - 2 cup Desiccated coconut
- 1Ā½ cup Milk
- Ā¾ cup Sugar
- 2 tsp Ghee
- 10 Cashew nut (chopped)
- 1 tsp Cardamom powder
- 2 tbsp Desiccated coconut (optional)
Instructions
- Heat ghee in a pan.
- Add 2 cups of desiccated coconut and saute for a few minutes.
- Add 1 Ā½ cup of milk and cook for a few minutes.
- After a few minutes, milk evaporates and the mixture starts to thicken.
- Add Ā¾ cup sugar and mix well.
- After a few minutes, the sugar dissolves and it turns watery.
- Stir well and cook this for a few minutes. After a few minutes, it starts to thicken.
- Finally, add cashew nuts and cardamom powder mix well.
- Allow this mixture to cool.
- Once cooled well, take a small portion out of this mixture and shape it as a laddu.
- Roll the laddu into the desiccated coconut.
- Delicious coconut laddu is ready to melt in the mouth.
