Ingredients
  

  • 3 cup Ash gourd (grated)
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • ΒΌ cup Ghee
  • 1 tsp Cardamom powder
  • 10 Cashewnut
  • Yellow color (optional)

Instructions

  • Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan.
  • Add chopped cashew nut and fry until it turns golden brown. Take it out and keep it aside.
  • In the same pan, add grated ash gourd and yellow color saute well and cook for a few minutes. Cook well until all water evaporates and the ash gourd is cooked well.
  • Once the ash gourd is cooked well, add sugar and mix well.
  • After a few minutes, the sugar dissolves and it turns a little watery.
  • Stir well and cook this for a few minutes. After a few minutes, it starts to thicken.
  • Add 2 tbsp ghee and saute for a few minutes.
  • Add cardamom powder and roasted cashew nuts into the halwa and mix well.
  • Kashi halwa is ready to melt in the mouth.
